Happy Easter!

Sunday, March 31, 2013

We spent Easter in Santa Cruz this year. Maeve enjoyed all the excitement, but didn't understand why it couldn't happen every day. Two egg hunts, one at the beach house and one at Auntie-E's house - total score: five chocolate bunnies.

Family time in Santa Cruz

We love to escape to Santa Cruz whenever we can - it's our salvation since it's crazy to travel with young kids. There's always fun times to be had in the Lost Boys wonderland.

Maeve’s First Meal

Saturday, December 08, 2012

We gave Maeve rice cereal mixed with breast milk for her first food. She ate it ravenously, but would squeal when the spoon was taken away - likely because she thought it was just small spoonfuls of breast milk. Baby steps. Oona was excited to help, as she's patiently been waiting for months to share her meals with Maeve!

Here Comes the Tree

Thursday, December 06, 2012

Christmas is in the air! And it's a family affair. Oona embraced the spirit of christmas tree decorating - her unique style of ornament clustering is purely her own (just how many disco balls can you fit on one branch?). Ammon illuminated our casa and Maeve enjoyed the twinkling lights. Laura and Oona baked the first (but not last) batch of Christmas sugar cookies. We are feeling pretty grateful to be experiencing the magic of Christmas through the eyes of our children.
