Oona & Maeve

Grandma meets Maeve

Friday, June 22, 2012

Great-grandma Gloria and Auntie Isa came to meet Maeve and visit Oona. Maeve received her first dose of cuban nursery rhymes and grandma/auntie ogling. We feel so lucky to have such a vibrant great grandmother for our girls to know.

Sisters

It's tricky to catch the fleeting moments of the girls focused and at rest, but when we do it makes us very happy.

Eda-mama

Thursday, June 14, 2012

A friend brought us a nice sushi meal after Maeve was born. Oona loves popping the edamame beans out of the pod, which she calls eda-mama.

Two Weeks Old

Thursday, June 14, 2012

Maeve is two weeks old and a little more wakeful and present. She still spends most of her time in a sleepy state or hanging out at the milk bar.

First Bath

Maeve's first bath was a party with her big sister and daddy. She seemed to like the water and didn't fuss a bit.

The Big Sister

Monday, June 04, 2012

We think Oona will be an amazing big sister - she's so sweet and filled with so much love. That's not to say it won't be difficult. We're already seeing the disconnect between the fantasy and reality of a toddler having a little baby sister - they just aren't much fun at first, but we trust that will change soon enough.
